Binx is a Dungeons & Dragons character-management app. This page explains what data it handles.
Everything you create in Binx — characters, gear, custom classes and races, spells, feats, and any portraits you add — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your sign-in details (your account identifier, and your name and email address if the provider supplied them) are stored locally too, so the app remembers you between launches.
Binx requires signing in with Apple or Google before use. Sign in with Apple provides an account identifier, plus your name and email address only the first time you sign in — and only if you choose to share them, since Apple lets you hide your real address. Signing in with Google provides your Google profile identifier, name, and email address.
When you sign in, Binx sends your sign-in provider, that provider's user identifier, your email address, and your display name to its backend, which is hosted on Supabase. That record exists so the developer has a way to contact you about the app and can match a later App Store subscription back to your account.
Your characters, gear, and homebrew content are never sent to this backend.
If you send feedback from inside the app, your message and your email address are delivered to the developer through that same backend, using the email service Resend. Your email address is included so the developer can reply. If that can't go through, Binx offers to hand the message to your own Mail app instead.
Binx Pro subscribers can sync their character data across their own devices via Apple's CloudKit, using their personal iCloud account. That data stays within your private iCloud database — Apple, not the developer, hosts it, and the developer has no access to it. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how iCloud handles your data.
If you choose to add a character portrait, Binx can access your camera or photo library. Any photo you pick is stored the same way as the rest of your character data — locally, and in iCloud only if you're syncing as a Binx Pro subscriber. Photos are never uploaded anywhere else.
Binx Pro subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). Binx never sees or stores your payment information — that's handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
Binx does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
Binx does not sell your data or share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are the services that make the app work:
Use Settings → Delete Account & Data to permanently remove Binx's backend account record and all Binx data on this device and in your private iCloud sync. App Store subscriptions are managed separately by Apple and can be cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Signing out only clears the sign-in details from this device.
